Point of Sale Inventory Items and Services

CCS has many types of items, and each item has properties that are specific to it's type. To simplify and focus on the features the business requires, these item types have been broken down into the following groups:

Retail Items Restaurant Menu Items Rental Items

Restaurant: Refer to the Restaurant Menu section on the properties of restaurant items.

Rental: Rental items are just like retail items. However, they use their serial code as their bar code for tracking and price lookup. Also, they use price categories to determine the rental price, and they must be marked as a rental item in the product information screen.

Service: Service items are those performed in service of support of products. There is little difference between product and service, however these are the key points: Are marked in CCS as a Service Are usually not taxed Have an option to not be discounted Have an option to be commissioned differently
